Hello there...
2011 has been a very busy year, promoting both
Starlet Rivalry and Double
Take and putting the finishing touches to my third
book, Stuntman. It is now available to purchase
from high street and online bookstores.
And for those of you who own a
kindle, you can now download the Bollywood Series as ebooks
direct from the Amazon website! Visit www.amazon.co.uk
I enjoyed every minute of writing
Stuntman. The book is based in Switzerland and it was
lovely to have an action man at the heart of the plot.
Bollywood stuntmen work very hard for little reward and they
risk their lives, too. The stuntman in this book is called
Ravi Verma and he is big on environmental issues. I hope
those reading the book will learn a little more about the
importance of conserving our planet.
Creating characters and
plotlines that readers tell me they have enjoyed is hugely
rewarding and makes all the hard work worthwhile. It’s also
a thrill to see the characters finally come to life,
courtesy of Megan Davidson’s stunning illustrations!
As always, the best part of my
work as an author is visiting the people who read my books
and again, this year I have travelled extensively across the
country. I hope 2012 will bring many more opportunities to
promote literacy and meet more students in libraries and
schools.
The highlight of my visits is
always the dance workshop at the end of my talk… it’s
a lot of fun and gives everyone a real taste of Bollywood.
Even those of you who claim to have two left feet are
seasoned pro’s by the end of it.
