My background

I’ve worked as a writer and designer for both magazines and newspapers for many years and my very first job - as Entertainments Editor for Eastern Eye newspaper - meant I was able to experience life on film sets and see real Bollywood stars in action!

I set about creating the Bollywood Series when I realised there was no fiction series based on the Indian film industry. I would like my books to be enjoyed by young readers who love Hindi movies as well as those who know nothing about the film industry but just want to be entertained.

The response to my three books, Starlet Rivalry, Double Take and Stuntman has been incredible. I always look forward to hearing your feedback and comments. Email info@bollywoodseries.com

In Starlet Rivalry, meet the following hotshots:

Bela - A superstar at just 16, Bela has made it big in the industry after winning a classical dance competition. She's well on her way to being numero uno!

Monica - Sexy, sultry Monica is a star child. Her parents were famous Bollywood actors and Monica has left a successful career as a top model to shine on the silver screen.

Marc Fernandez - The heart-throb of Bollywood, muscly Marc is adored by females around the world. Take one look at him and find out why...

Ajay Banerjee - His floppy, brown hair and boyish charm have made him a schoolgirl pin-up. Even Bela's schoolfriends can't take their eyes off him...

Tara - Fun, mischievous and daring - Bela's schoolfriend certainly knows how to liven things up, although Bela thinks she can go a bit too far at times!

Priyanka - Friends with Bela and Tara since they started school, Priyanka is training as a beautician and although she loves rubbing shoulders with the stars, she has her head on her shoulders and gives Bela some much-needed support.

In Double Take, meet:

Amrita Deepa’s talented stylist and make-up artist knows a thing or two about what really goes on behind the scenes and she’s always on hand to offer Deepa advice when she needs it most

Bela – Famous and hugely successful actress as seen in Starlet Rivalry, Bela finds herself at the receiving end of Deepa Khanna’s fury…

Jayant – Deepa’s money-mad dad and the reason why she has ended up becoming a film actress, he’s always giving her a hard time, no matter what she achieves…
